Level 350 is one of the toughest levels in the Candy Crush Saga game. But web developer Gilles Grima, 40, conquered this insanely hard level of the popular game on his first attempt – without spending any money on it.
I interviewed Gilles, who is from Clermont, Ferrand, in France, and got some tips from him about how to beat Candy Crush Level 350. This is what Gilles said.
Why is Level 350 so difficult?
Level 350 is difficult because there are a lot of meringues to eliminate and plenty of jelly squares to destroy. You also have to be careful with the two bomb dispensers.
What are some important tips or strategies to beat Level 350?
This level requires you to eliminate jelly squares, so I’d say that everything that helps to get rid of a lot of jelly is good (for example, stripped + colour bomb or stripped + wrapped) and the lollipops.
An aggressive strategy at Level 350 would be needed to eliminate the meringues and the jelly as fast as possible. But at the same time, you must keep an eye out for the bombs and don’t let them explode on you.
The ideal scenario would be to have a few combos happening at the beginning of the game to break the meringue in the centre – without getting bombs. Wrapped/stripped combos will help with that.
What was your own strategy to your success at Level 350?
When I started Level 350, I knew already that it was a really hard one, so I thought that my first attempt would be just a test to see what it was all about.
So, I really didn’t care about the bomb dispensers and I got a few nice combos at the beginning that I didn’t hesitate to use. From mid-game on, bombs started to drop but I could always get rid of them by using speckled colour bombs or just by moving the candies below them. Then, at the end, I had only one jelly and 10 moves to eliminate it. But I couldn’t reach it. So before the last move, I had to use a lollipop hammer to finish the game.
What was your main secret to beating Level 350 – on your first try?
I think what make me succeed was that I didn’t hesitate. I think you have to take risks with the bombs and just hope that you’ll be able to get rid of them. If you hesitate too much, you won’t have enough moves to finish. And of course, having a few lollipop hammers for unreachable bombs or last jellies would help. But only use the lollipop if you’re 99% sure it would win the game.
What are some of the most common mistakes that players make in Level 350?
Maybe they are too afraid of the bombs and spend their time focusing too much on these instead of clearing the jellies. But they’re not real bombs – they’re just candies!
