100% Mao Shan Wang Durian Ice Confection by King’s Potong Gold

Back by popular demand, the Mao Shan Wang Durian Ice Confection had been quickly snapped up in supermarkets when it was first launched last year. But now Singaporeans craving for a cool treat made with the thorny King of Fruits, can have their durian cravings satisfied again.

Mao Shan Wang Durian Ice Confection is back.

Free from artificial flavouring and preservatives

Prepared with 100% Mao Shan Wang Puree from Malaysia, this ice confection is free from artificial flavouring, and at the same time, combines the bittersweet goodness and seductive aroma of the King of Fruits, by King’s Potong Gold. Coconut milk is also added, in order to provide an additional dose of richness to impress even the most discerning palette.

Sensory taste method used in the manufacturing process

During the making process of the Mao Shan Wang Durian Ice Confection, a sensory taste method is used to establish the clear differentiation between normal mixed durian species and the Mao Shan Wang species.

The Mao Shan Wang is no ordinary durian species – its bittersweet, velvety flesh with a tinge of gold, is what makes this grade of durian one of the top, if not, the best durian in the market.

The treat is free from any artificial flavouring.

The manufacturing process ensures the consistency of the profile of each incoming batch of durians, sourced from a supplier with the necessary credentials. At the same time, the quality control team also visits the supplier on-site to ensure that compliance to food safety standards and the quality of the produce are strictly adhered to.

Sampling the Mao Shan Wang Durian Ice Confection

Thanks to King’s Potong Gold, my family and I were given the opportunity to savour the Mao Shan Wang Durian Ice Confection.

The ice confection is smooth and creamy.

Upon unwrapping the ice confection, it appears to look like a typical Potong style confection. And the appearance also bears the similar yellow colour of real durian, thus leaving not much doubts about its authenticity.

Added my dad, “Although it is a Potong style ice confection, the texture is surprisingly smooth and creamy.”

And the ice confection has a strong pronounced durian taste and aroma, which many Singaporeans are fond of.
