Made with 100 per cent Mao Shan Wang puree from Malaysia and free from artificial colourings, the Mao Shan Wang Durian Stick Ice Confection from King’s Potong Gold contains the bittersweet goodness and seductive aroma of durians, with the addition of coconut milk to impress even the most discerning palate.

Consistency and quality is preserved

To ensure the consistency and the quality of the Mao Shan Wang durians that are used in the durian puree, to make the confection sticks, a sensory taste method is adopted by the sensory panellists from King’s Potong Gold, to establish the clear distinction between normal mixed species durians and the Mao Shan Wang species.

This strict quality control ensures that the flavour of the ice cream is consistent and will meet customer expectations.

Taste of the Mao Shao Wang Confection

Thanks to King’s Potong Gold, I had the chance to try the Mao Shan Wang Durian Ice Confection. On tasting my first stick, it was smooth and creamy.

And the flavour had a distinctively clean, pure durian taste and it was quite obvious that no other essence or artificial flavourings had been included in it. But the actual strength of the durian flavour could have been a little stronger though.

The ice confection has a very pure & clean durian taste.

In terms of the sweetness, it was slightly sweet but the flavour balanced out very well with the actual taste of the durian.

This is probably something that durian lovers would thoroughly enjoy – it is cool and refreshing and at the same time, the distinctive flavours of the durian fruit come out well.
