Participants at this year’s ILLUMI FEST RUN can enjoy an expanded luminescent 5km fun running and fitness experience, as the running event partners with the iLight Marina Bay festival.

An extension of the glow-tastic experience for runners
The collaboration between ILLUMI FEST RUN and iLight Marina bay sees an extension of the glow-tastic experience that also includes an ILLUMI Bar and an ILLUMI Space that will be open to the public from 9 March to 9 April.
An ILLUMI Bar
For the ILLUMI Bar, this shines a light on environmental sustainability through incorporating LED-lit furniture made with reusable plastic tanks and provides a vibrant gathering point for visitors to take part in games and other activities.
I have seen some rather unusual bars – such as a bar installed in the middle of a swimming pool in Sentosa which had definitely caught my eye at the time. But the ILLUMI Bar sounds like something new and unusual as well, so I would be eager to actually see it for myself too.

The ILLUMI Space featuring nostalgic, old school games
Also, the interactive ILLUMI Space will showcase giant glowing installations of popular old-school games like Twister, HopScotch, Jenga and Tic-Tac-Toe for the public to enjoy.
Hearing about these old-school games are a great reminder of my childhood days; I still remember playing games like HopScotch in the school playground during my primary school days so I can’t wait to take a look at the ILLUMI Space.
This space will be occupying the waterfront area located by The Promontory at Marina bay.
ILLUMI FEST RUN will end off the iLight @ Marina bay festival
The ILLUMI FEST RUN – takes place on the evening of 31 March – and here runners can look forward to a spectacular selection of activities to illuminate their race experience. These include an ILLUMI Slide, ILLUMI Paint War and an ILLUMI Splash Box where runners can get creative with ILLUMI Glow Water.
The ILLUMI RUN FEST will begin from 4pm and the event runs till late into the night.
Previous editions of the ILLUMI Run had been full of fun and laughter, with runners thoroughly enjoying the glowing experience and the after-run party.
As well, runners will also get doused in shades of neon glow water and be transformed into luminous, moving pieces of a multicoloured living artwork as they run along the Marina bay waterfront. Filled with plenty of opportunities for photos, more than 2,500 litres of cascading glow powder and incandescent ultraviolet ILLUMI Glow Zones, This will make a radiant experience for everyone.
And furthermore, after the run, runners can continue to dance into the night as the festival culminates in a sea of colour at the giant paint party at the finishing line.
Fuelled by fresh DJ beats, fluorescent paint cannons and high spirits, this is set to be the only glow in the dark paint part in the heart of Singapore City.
