A natural fit for Asia’s Got Talent on AXN

Said Hui Keng Ang, Senior Vice President and General Manager from the show’s TV network, Sony Pictures Television Networks, Asia, “As competitors on the second season of the Amazing Race Asia, Marc and Rovilson has never failed to captivate viewers with their on-screen charisma. We saw them as a natural fit to host a show like Asia’s Got Talent and are proud to have them back on AXN.”

Added Paul O’Hanlon, who is the Managing Director from the show’s production company, Fremantle Media Asia, “In addition to their years of experience, Marc and Rovilson bring an incredible energy that will encourage and motivate the contestants. They complement our panel of judges perfectly and we look forward to working with them in the season ahead.”

Became household names through AXN’s The Amazing Race Asia in 2007

TV personalities Nelson and Fernandez initially became household names during their participation in The Amazing Race Asia, when the two best friends held pole position for a record length of the race – from the second to the eighth episodes.

They eventually reclaimed their lead in the final episode – and thus, went on to win the reality show competition. From then, they hosted The Duke – AXN’s original talk and lifestyle magazine show, which profiled some of the most successful men around the region.

An honour to host Asia’s Got Talent

Said Nelson, “It is an honour and privilege to host Asia’s Got Talent, the biggest talent competition in the world, and to do so with Rovilson is a bonus. We look forward to working with the judges and setting the stage for the incredible contestants to shine.”

Added Fernandez, “I am humbled to play a part in this great search for talent across the region. With Marc, we will do our best to bring our amazing experience on Asia’s Got Talent to AXN viewers.”

The two hosts are not the only ones looking forward to their experience on Asia’s Got Talent, though. Said George Levendis, Head of International for Syco Entertainment, a leading music and television production company associated with the Got Talent franchise, “Marc and Rovilson are about to take us through a fantastic ride across Asia. We welcome them both to the Got Talent family and look forward to bringing their warmth, wit and magnetism to this unique production.”

Will help to search for Asia’s most mind-blowing and breathtaking performances

Together with the show’s four judges – David Foster, Anggun, Van Ness Wu and Melanie C. the two TV personalities will search for Asia’s most mind-blowing, jaw-dropping and breathtaking performances. Contestants who advance to the semi-finals will face an even tougher judge – the AXN audiences, who will choose the eventual winner for the talent search series – which will air in March.
