The cast of Tiger Mum – the latest TV drama on STAR Chinese Channel – were in Singapore to share anecdotes of their filming experiences at a press conference held yesterday at the Resorts World Sentosa ballroom. These included A-Listers Zhao Wei, Wang Sen and Executive Producer Huang Lan.

Cast as a type-A ‘tiger mom’ in the show, the 39 year old star shared that as a mother herself, she is able to understand the tough competition and pressure that parents and children go through, in today’s education rat race.
Singaporeans too can relate to the theme
Dressed in a cream-coloured dress, Zhao Wei expressed her thanks to Singapore audiences for their supportive tune-ins to Tiger Mom. She also added that the story, which follows around a happy couple and their young daughter who has just started school and seems to be falling behind her peers, is a theme that Singaporeans too, can easily identify with.

His first time in Singapore
Wang Sen, who plays a playful brother to Zhao Wei’s character in the series, also shared during the press conference, that it is his first time in Singapore and he is thinking of staying for a few days to explore the island.
Tiger Mom is airing on STAR Chinese Channel, Singtel TV Ch. 507 and StarHub TV Ch. 822 every weekday at 9pm.
