Do you want to know what it feels like to be a part of a zombie apocalypse? Then this is the perfect race for you. It is a 5km obstacle course where you have to run away from zombies. Originated from the USA, there are now versions of this race held all over the world, including Singapore and Australia. The Singapore version took place on 11 January. Marathon du Medoc

If you are a wine lover, then this is definitely the race for you. It is a 42km full marathon staged in the wine regions of Bordeaux, France – whereby the hydration stations serve wine to the runners to quench their thirst. Altogether, there are 23 hydration points and these serve the best wine in France.

If you love Krispy Kreme donuts, here is the perfect five-mile race for you. In this entertaining race cum feast, runners will run 2.5 miles, eat one dozen Krispy Kreme donuts and then run back 2.5 miles – all within one hour.

But if you are not up to eating so many donuts, you can also choose to register as a “casual runner” whereby you can select the number of donuts you want to gobble down, be it two dozen, half a dozen or even a single donut. Walt Disney World Marathon

If you want to release the inner child in you and enter the so-called “happiest” place on earth, then you should consider entering this particular marathon race. As the name suggests, the race route takes place through the Disneyland theme parks in the United States and you get to high five and take photos with the likes of Mickey, Minnie and Pluto along the way.

The Colour Run

This run originated from America, but it has now taken the world by storm, with editions all over the world. In Singapore, the Colour Run made its debut in August last year. It is a 5km dash whereby participants start out in white tee shirts, but at every kilometre marker, they will be splashed with paint. So by the end of the run, runners will be completely coated in a myriad of colours.
