New Medal Design for Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2017

A brand new medal design has been unveiled for the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon, which takes place on 3 December this year.

The medal has been shaped to look like the Singapore map, showcasing various iconic landmarks. These include the Merlion, Marina Bay Sands, ArtScience Museum and the Singapore Flyer. Over 10,000 runners, who have already registered for the Full Marathon category, are expected to receive this medal when they have completed their race.

Close to 30,000 runners have registered

Altogether, close to 30,000 runners have already registered for the 2017 Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon, in what promises to be the best edition yet. There is no cap to the number of Early Bird sign up rates this year.

Register by 30 June to receive S$15 worth of discounts

If you register by 30th June at, you will receive up to S$15 worth of discounts and benefits. These include Under Armour Running Tee and Finisher Tee, a Race Pack worth over S$180, as well as a Cold Towel and Digital Race Photo upon finishing the run.

Early Bird sign up rates are at S85 for locals for the Full Marathon and S$75 for the Half Marathon. The 10km Race is S$65.

Registration rates for foreigners are at S$110 for the Full Marathon and S$100 for the Half Marathon. The 10km Race is S$90.

Race Day Experiences that await runners

Runners will also experience cooling zones, longer hydration stations and mist tunnels on Race Day. As well they will get to run brand new routes for both the Half and the Full Marathon categories, through some of the most iconic heritage locations in Singapore.

Runners are also encouraged to be part of the Running Club Challenge, which encourages friendly rivalry amongst the various running clubs in Singapore.

Flag Off Times

On Sunday 3 December, the Full Marathon and the Half Marathon will flag off at 4.30am at Orchard Road. The 10km Race will flag off at Esplanade Drive at 7.15am.

The Kids Dash flags off the day before, on Saturday 2 December, at 6pm in the evening at Orchard Road.
