A neutral cushioned shoe built for fast speeds, the New Balance Fresh Foam Zante V2 shoe comprises of an aggressive toe spring and new midsole design – to deliver the quick transition and support needed for speedy runners.
It also has an engineered mesh upper, which eliminates the need for overlays. It also has a bootie-like fit, which feels like a streamlined second skin that is supposed to wrap itself snugly around your feet.
Runners have a positive opinion of the shoe
Runners who have tried out the shoe, have a rather positive opinion about them. Said Mandie33, who posted her comments on the gearinstitute.com forum, “The Zante V2 is fairly comfortable. The foam provides enough cushioning and as such, it felt good on the pavement. There was also ample cushioning throughout the foot – with a bit more in the heel. However this shoe was a little stiffer than I prefer and not overly soft.”
Added Cynthia Lauren Arnold, another contributor on gearinstitute.com, “I feel faster with this shoe on. I love the Fresh Foam and feel a lot of energy return. There is good flexibility in the toe-off and getting off my heels to run fast is easy. The Zante is a springy light ride.”
