ENHANCED STABILITY
The shoes have an upgraded guidance line – a feature that leads foot pressure load centrally through the foot to guide runners and improve gait efficiency. The latest model also offers improved fit around the ankle thus bringing enhanced stability to runners.
IMPROVED COMFORT AND CUSHIONING
GEL is also built into the outer heel to improve shock absorption and a new inclined position allows for more central distribution of the weight of the runners, and delivering better cushioning and balance.
LIGHT WEIGHT MIDSOLES
The midsole comprises of two layers that work together to keep the weight of the shoes down – they currently weigh 330 grams.
The top layers of the midsoles contain spEVA, a material that delivers superior levels of cushioning and resilience and the patented FlyteFoam midsole technology – which is 55 per cent lighter than the industry standard – make up the bottom later.
The shoes have excellent grip, support and cushioning.

The GEL-KAYANO 23 shoes retail for $259 a pair, and will be available at ASICS stores, selected retailers and running speciality destination stores nationwide from September onwards.
