Early Bird Rates for Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon Ending in One Week

Runners who are still sitting on the fence to sign up for the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon (SCSM), need to make a decision quickly.

This is because registrations for the 17th edition of SCSM are filling up fast, with almost 25,000 sign ups already, across the six race categories.

Early bird registration fees are priced from S$90 for the Marathon, S$75 for the Half Marathon, S$65 for the 10km Run and S$50 for the 5km Fun Run. Those who are looking at the Double Up Challenge can sign up from S$125 onwards, depending on the two categories that they choose to participate in.

The SCMS is organised by IRONMAN Asia, a Wanda Sports Holdings company that operates a global portfolio of events that include the IRONMAN® triathlon series, the IRONMAN® 70.3® triathlon series, 5150™ triathlon series, Rock N Roll Marathon series® and many more.

Runners can still register themselves for the event at www.singaporemarathon.com.

And all Standard Chartered cardholders can sign up at 15 per cent discount across all categories throughout the registration period.

With the early bird rates for the race ending in one week’s time, this event, which will be taking place over a two-day format on 8th & 9th December, is set to deliver an improved race experience to over 50,000 runners. So do not miss your opportunity to take part in Singapore’s premiere marathon running event.

I am looking to take part in the Full Marathon category at SCSM and I am eagerly anticipating the improved race experiences that the organisers have in store for all of the runners this year.

And to ensure that the SCSM continues to remain accessible to runners of all levels, the 5km category has also been introduced for the first time in the history of the event. So runners looking for an entry-level distance are encouraged to join this category, which will be flagged off together with the 10km category.

As well, the 5km and 10km events will also begin and end at a brand new location – starting at the F1 Pit Building and finishing at The Float @ Marina Bay on Saturday morning, a day before the Half Marathon and the Full Marathon event – which is also set to begin and end at the same location.

Also, the Ekiden relay category will also offer 500 slots for a group of five runners who are keen to team up to run the full marathon as a relay. Each Ekiden runner will cover approximately 8km.

Hard-core runners, however, can also take up the Double Up challenge, providing them access to either the 5km or the 10km category on Saturday, before proceeding to take part in the Marathon or the Half Marathon on Sunday.

So if running a Full Marathon is still not siong enough for you, then you should seriously consider doing this challenge – and then let me know how your legs feel the following day!
