The latest craze to hit the App Store for both Apple and Android is the insanely addictive Flappy Bird game. To date, the game has more than 50 million downloads.
Unfortunately though, the game’s developer, Hanoi-based Dong Nguyen, has just pulled this highly popular game from the App Store, because he can’t cope with the fame and fortune that Flappy Bird is currently giving him – and he just prefers to have a quiet life.
But here are some tips for those who have already downloaded the Flappy Bird game.
Unlike other games such as Angry Birds or Candy Crush Saga, this Flappy Bird game requires absolutely no skill. All you have to do is to get the virtual onscreen bird through the pipes during the whole game. The longer you are able to do this for, the higher your points will be.
Read on to find out some tips and tricks that will help you to improve your scores on Flappy Bird.
Get a bigger screen
It is possible to play the Flappy Bird game on all types of mobile platforms, but the bigger your screen is, the easier it is, to see the bird and you can navigate it through the pipes more quickly.
So try to play Flappy Bird on an iPad or any other tablet device, instead of a smartphone, if you want to increase your chances of improving your high score.
Mute your phone or tablet notifications
With the sheer amount of concentration that this game requires, it is important that you are not disturbed. The worst thing possible for any Flappy Bird player is to be on the verge of beating your high score, only to be undone by the sound of an irritating text message from a contact.
By muting your notifications, you will be able to concentrate at playing Flappy Bird much better. But remember to only do this if you are free and not expecting a call or message.
Charge your phone
Another really terrible thing that may happen to a Flappy Bird player is for your phone to run out of battery – when you are just about to beat your high score. And the bird smashes into a pillar as a result of this. So remember to charge your phone or tablet device to the maximum before you even consider playing the Flappy bird game, to avoid such mishaps.
Do not let the game stress you out
The Flappy Bird game is an extremely frustrating one and players often get stressed when they fail. But instead of letting this stress you, try to keep your calm and re-start the game only after you have cooled down.
Having a calm frame of mind and keeping your temper at bay will help you to focus better. As a result, you will be more adept at getting that frustrating bird through the pillars – and might even beat your high score as a result of this.
