Other Games Similar to Candy Crush Saga

bubblewitchAre you feeling the blues because you have just completed all the 300-plus levels of the Candy Crush Saga and you aren’t sure how to spend your free time now? Or you are impatiently awaiting your friends to send you tickets to the next level and you don’t know what to do in the meantime? Or perhaps you have simply exhausted all five lives on Candy Crush Saga and you don’t know what to do with the next half an hour, while you are waiting for a life to regenerate.

Don’t fret. Here are some other games that are similar to the Candy Crush Saga, and may just get you equally as hooked.

Bubble Witch Saga

This is a bubble shooting and matching game and is produced by King.com. They are the developers of Candy Crush Saga too. There are more than 500 levels in this game and your aim is to combine three bubbles of the same colour in order to explode them. Just like in Candy Crush Saga, you will need a minimum amount of points in order to pass each level and you’ll have to either request for credits to pass into the next “episode” from your Facebook friends or to pay for them.

This game is free and can be downloaded from the Apple iTunes Store and the Google Play Store.

Bejeweled

bejewelledThis is the classic match-three game. Instead of candies, you are matching gemstones such as diamonds, sapphires and emeralds. The aim of this game is to match three gemstones of the same colour in order to collect points and “extinguish” them from the board. You require a specific number of points in order to pass up to the next level. One difference between this game and Candy Crush Saga though, is that if you reach a stalemate in Bejeweled, the game ends for you. But in Candy Crush Saga, the board will automatically reshuffle once there are no more available moves left.

This game can be downloaded from the Apple iTunes Store and the Google Play Store.

Candy Jewels

In this game, the aim is to match assorted candies together. As a result, it may appear just as brightly coloured and attractive as the game that I am comparing this one to, but that is where the similarly ends. For example, in Candy Jewels, you do not need to ask for tickets or lives from your friends, in order to move up a level.

This is a typical match-three type of game whereby you match at least three candies of the same colour in order to collect points and to clear them off the board. If you are able to reach a certain number of points, you will advance to the next level. However, if you are able to form combinations with four or five candies, you will be able to get powerful combinations.

Candy Jewels is available as a free download on the Google Play Store.

Diamonds Blaze

If you want much more out of a match-three puzzle game than what Candy Crush Saga has to offer, then Diamonds Blaze will definitely get you hooked. The aim of this game is to match three or more gemstones of the same colour.

However, in Diamonds Blaze, you have to physically draw a line connecting any adjacent gemstones and these need not be a horizontal or vertical line. For example, the gemstones you match can even be at right angles to each other, or form a snake-like pattern.

Moreover, you are given one minute to match as many gems as possible in every level, unlike the Candy Crush Saga game, which offers you a myriad of puzzles as you progress up the levels. As well, the fairy-tale story and atmosphere makes it easy to get yourself hooked onto Diamond Blaze, once you have downloaded the game.

Diamonds Blaze is free for download on the Google Play Store
