In a first-of-its-kind, iconic hawker market Lau Pa Sat is teaming up with the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon (SCSM), inviting runners and food lovers to fuel up on unlimited servings of local hawker favourites on 5 and 6 December 2025.

As Singapore’s most iconic hawker market, Lau Pa Sat is a must-visit food and retail destination for both locals and tourists. It offers more than 80 food & beverage stalls offering diverse culinary experiences. As well, it is home to Singapore’s largest open-air satay street, the one and only destination for the most authentic street hawker experience. 

And for $28 a ticket, Lau Pa Sat is hosting members of the public and marathon participants for a two-night hawker carbo loading party (at $28 each night) in partnership with SCSM. The event offers runners the opportunity to fuel up on hearty local favourites before their big race.

Said Santoz Kumar, General Manager, IRONMAN Group, the organisers of the marathon, “Many runners know that proper fuelling is key to a great performance, and what better way to prepare than with authentic hawker classics that reflect the spirit of our city? Singapore’s rich and diverse food culture is something we’re proud to showcase through this first-ever Hawker Carbo Loading Party at Lau Pa Sat.”

Runners who sign up can expect an all-you-can-eat spread comprising of hawker favourites such as char kway teow and hokkien mee to halal options such as curry naan, mee goreng and chicken rice.

It is a perfect tribute to Singapore’s culinary and hawker heritage as well as the prefect pre-race indulgence for both local and international runners alike. 

Besides the feast, a series of engaging activities will also be taking place on race weekend. These include opportunities to capture your pre-race moments at the‘Fuel Up’ Video Booth, or glam-up your race-day look at the Personalisation Pit Stop.

Additionally, there will also be a Marathon Pro-Tip segment, featuring guest fitness coaches and trainers who will be sharing fitness tips, ensuring you’re physically and mentally ready for race day.
