Great Eastern Women’s Run 2025 is launched!

The Great Eastern Women’s Run launched on Monday to plenty of fanfare at Asia Tower 1. Now into its 19th edition, the race this year will feature an exciting new category: this is a competitive 10km exclusively for tertiary students and is aimed at nurturing young female runners in Singapore.

Besides the new category, all of the popular categories are back too: the 21.1km by-invite-only elite half marathon, 21.1km mass half marathon, 5km and 10km mass runs, 2km Mummy+Me and the 100m Princess Dash.

Participants queued as early as from 5:30am to win the attractive prizes for the first in line at the launch. To commemorate Great Eastern’s 117th anniversary, 117 pairs of free race slots were to be given out for the first 117 to register at launch, which explained the queues, as well as goodie bags worth $100 each for the first 500 in queue.

To launch the event, guest of honour Jasmin Lau, Minister of State for Education and Digital Development was part of a six-woman team to raise $20,000 by running 5 minutes on the treadmill.

She was joined by representatives from Daughters of Tomorrow and Singapore Cancer Society, the event’s two charity partners, and a student representative from the new tertiary category. This marked the beginning of the fundraising campaign for the Great Eastern Women’s Run which runs from 26 May to 5 October and the money raised will be added to the total funds raised through the campaign.

Registration is now open for the Great Eastern Women’s Run at https://greateasternwomensrun.com and early-bird prices start from $16.15 for the princess dash, $43.78 for the Mummy+Me, $29.33 for 5km, $44.63 for 10km and $53.55 for 21.1km.
