Check out the website and put your name in

If you are interested, you can get more information at www.foodhero.asia and put your name down on the the Food Hero mailing list. You will receive the latest updates and exclusive content related to the competition – before it is launched to the public on 11 May.

Download the Food Hero application and upload your audition entries

Between 11 May – 28 June 2015, you can download the new Food Hero application – and upload video entries of yourself preparing and presenting a culinary dish or introducing your favourite dishes.

This application will be free for download on both the Apple’s App Store and Google Play. It will also feature tips on how to shoot a submission video and some clips from last year’s Food Hero winners, Sarah Benjamin and Michele Lean.

Five entries will be shortlisted

Out of all the video entries submitted, five will be shortlisted by the Asian Food Channel and Food Network team. The judging criteria will be based on personality, on-screen appeal and the ability to create engaging and creative content. The shortlisted entries will then take part in a series of online culinary and travel-themed challenges.

Four finalists chosen to showcase their abilities in Singapore

Four finalists will then be chosen and will compete against each other in challenges in Singapore, that will showcase their hosting and cooking ability. Their performance in these challenges will determine who will become Asia’s new Food Heroes. Two winners will be selected and then made public in September 2015.

Dreams came true for the 2014 winners

In 2014, Sarah Benjamin from Singapore and Michele Lean from Malaysia won the Food Hero title – whilst beating over 270 applicants in the process. Sarah starred in Must Try! Asia on Asian Food Channel and Michele went on to host Food Wars Asia on Food Network.

Food Hero is a campaign run on Asian Food Channel and Food Network and supported by Official Singapore Radio Partners, Kiss 92FM and One FM.
