It’s one year on after the shocking events of the season two finale, with Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) on the run in Europe. He is accompanied by his psychiatrist Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson) – and has a new identity, but servicing the same insatiable appetite for human flesh. The new season promises to be the best dressed television show – as the action in “Hannibal” turns back to Europe.

As the lives of Will Graham (Hugh Dancy), Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne), and Alana Bloom (Caroline Dhavernas) converge toward Hannibal again – with their own motivations to catch him once and for all, their deadly dance turns in startling and unexpected ways. With Will and the FBI in pursuit, and without a home base, Hannibal becomes more vulnerable than ever. He knows that his past is fast catching up with him.

In the second half of the season, Jack implores Will to help him catch a new threat – a new serial killer attacking families, known in the press as the Tooth Fairy, but self-proclaimed as The Great Red Dragon. The hunt may force Will to look to an unwelcome source of insight – his old adversary, Hannibal.
