According to Oezil, the boots are his dream product. He said, “During my whole career, I have tried to minimise the impact of laces on my strike and ball control. I told adidas in 2014 that I knot the laces over and over again and then tuck in the ends. That way, they do not interfere with my touch.”
He added, “So when adidas approached me last year, with the laceless boots, I felt that they had created my dream product – now I can’t wait to wear them on the pitch.”
