Jabees Beeing, the cutting-edge true wireless earbuds [Review]

The latest earbuds in line from renowned electronics manufacturer Jabees, the Beeing true-wireless earbuds is advertised as having some cutting-edge features. For instance, according to the manufacturers, this includes compatibility with all Qi-enabled charging devices to make charging easy.

Intuitive Features

And as well, the Beeing is also compatible with virtual assistants such as Siri and Google Assistant – with a single click of a button.

Thus, with intuitive features such as these, I had been quite interested to try out the Jabees Beeing – when the opportunity had presented itself to me.

Two colour combinations

The Jabees Beeing comes in two different colours, Black and White. Both of these are neutral colour combinations and as such, will match well with most of my wardrobe easily.

Reviewing the Jabees Beeing

Upon agreeing to review the product, a White-coloured unit of the Beeing earphones arrived at my doorstep towards the end of last month.

What’s in the box

Upon opening the box, it comes with a unit of the Jabees Beeing within its charging case, as well as wireless earbud tips in several sizes, a charging cable and the product instruction manual.

Design of the Jabees Beeing

I had thought that the design and appearance of the Beeing earphones had been a bit on the clunky and thick side as well. And the size of the portable charging case was also significantly larger than I would have liked. This meant that the case would not fit easily into my pocket when I go out for a run.

Pairing

Pairing the Beeing to my iPhone XS Max is a very simple and easy process.

This is because my phone was able to detect the earphones immediately after I took the Beeing out of the box so within less than a minute, I could establish a connection.

The Fit

However in terms of its fitting, the Beeing didn’t do so well, unfortunately.

This is because I had to try several times with different ear-tips in order to get a fit that seemed to be decent and this took a while. But even then, I feel that the fit is still not as good or comfortable as I would have liked.

Beeing drops out of the ears

I have used the Jabees Beeing on several occasions, including a few of my outdoor runs.

And unfortunately during my workouts, the Jabees Beeing did not manage to stay so well in my ears, especially when the sweat started dripping down my face.

For example, during a steady effort 5km run, the Beeing had threatened to drop out of my ears at least six to seven times. So I had to keep on trying to push it back into my ear. This was disrupting to my running rhythm.

The Jabees Beeing is said to be suitable for active lifestyles as it is sweat-proof and the design is supposedly secure-fitting. So maybe it’s just the shape of my ears.

Great sound quality

But that aside though, the sound quality is good when I am listening to my songs with the Beeing. My music is rich, sharp and clear. The trebles are strong, but the base was a little bit on the flat side – so this could have been improved slightly.

This is probably due to the graphene-enhanced sound features that the Beeing has.

But the Beeing is a great choice for casual listeners who want their music on the go, but audiophiles are not likely to be satisfied.

During my runs, some of which had partly brought me through construction areas, the rich sound of the Beeing also didn’t drop once, and it had remained clear and consistent throughout.

Phone Calls

Making and receiving phone calls is easy with the Beeing. Trying out the Beeing to pick up a call, my iPhone automatically switched from using the phone’s speaker to the Beeing.

And as well, I thought the call sound quality – which come out of both earbuds, is quite clear and distinct, without sounding muffled, which was good.

In terms of making phone calls, the Beeing also makes this process fuss-free to some extent.

I found that you only need to double-press the button on the right side earbud and the Beeing will automatically ring up your last-dialled phone number. So if you have a regular contact that you usually reach every day, this feature would come in handy.

Battery Life

The battery life for the Jabees Beeing lasts you four hours on a single charge and you get an additional 12 hours with the charging case, before you need to recharge the Beeing.

As a marathoner, I think that this is decent enough for most long training runs, but may not last through a full marathon, if you are the sort who needs music to get you through your running races.

The standby battery time of the Beeing, when it is not in use, is 100 hours, according to what’s printed on the product box.

But unfortunately though, I still have to charge the Jabees Beeing the traditional way, that is, by using the cable in the box, because I don’t have access to a Qi wireless charger. So this is a bit of a pity. But if you do have one, then it would nonetheless be great.
