On October 18-19, the TriFactor World Championships Quzhou returned for the first time since 2019, with 1,223 athletes over 15 provinces and municipalities over China, representing 37 cities and 24 countries competing for the top prizes.

The event transformed Quzhou city centre into a festival of endurance, unity and celebration with athletes competing across the Elite, Full, Half, Duathlon and Fun Run categories promoting TriFactor’s mission for inclusive participation and community engagement.
Competitors swam in the Crystal-clear waters of the Qu River and cycled past landmarks such as the Luming grassland, the “two centers” area and Quzhou Sports Centre, blending modern architecture with centuries-old heritage.

Athletes around the world were impressed with the organisation and Quzhou’s scenic and historical landscapes.
Said Cameron Brown, 12-times Ironman world champion from New Zealand, “The new course is spectacular – one of the best-organised and most scenic venues I’ve experienced in my career.”
Added Antony, a competitor from England, “racing while surrounded by centuries of history (alongside the historic Shuitingmen Archway), this is an unparalleled feeling.”

Their testimonials underscored the event’s unique value of combining competitive passion with the charm of Quzhou’s ancient streets and modern cityscape.
