Level 140 is a notoriously hard level in the Candy Crush Saga smartphone game. This is because of the sheer number of candy orders that you are required to collect – 99 red candies, 99 orange candies and 99 yellow candies. In total, that is an incredible 297 candies – a high amount by anyone’s standards. It means that you have to be incredibly lucky in the moves that you make, as a result of this.
Moreover, you have only 45 moves to do so. It means therefore, that you must collect an average of 6.6 candies in a single move. So your match-three combinations are not enough.
At the same time, the boredom of the game board at level 140, can also put off many players. There is not a single blocker around to spice up the game and make it more interesting. It is your standard square game board with nothing but candies on it.
So how do you beat this incredibly hard and boring Candy Crush Saga level? Here are some tips on how to do so.
Form Colour Bombs
Try and form colour bombs whenever you have the chance. These come about when you are able to match five candies of the same colour together.
When you have your colour bombs, don’t waste them too. Try and match these together with the candy colour that you are having the most trouble in collecting, in order to maximise their usage.
Alternatively, you could match the colour bomb with the colour order that is the most abundant on the board, so that you can seize as many of these within a single move.
Moreover, clearing candies using colour bombs will form cascades when the new candies fall down onto the screen. As a result, you may be able to benefit by collecting even more candies in a single move – and help you to complete this level.
- Match two colour bombs together
You need some degree of luck in order to get two colour bombs together but it is not impossible, as I have experienced it a few times when I was playing Candy Crush Saga – without the usage of boosters.
But if you can get two of these together in this level, it is a very powerful and potent combination, because it clears every single candy from the board – and will go a long way in helping you to fulfil your objective of collecting the 275 red, orange and yellow candies from the board.
Match two wrapped candies together
If you are able to put two wrapped candies together, this is also quite powerful, though not as strong as the colour bomb + colour bomb combination. It clears a 9 by 9 square of candies off from the board, which is a massive chunk by anyone’s standards. This will help you to fulfil the requirements of this level, because it should clear many red, orange and yellow candies in a single move – especially if they are abundantly represented in that 9 by 9 square that is cleared. Moreover, you may also benefit, once again, from cascading candies – which will thus clear even more candies for you.
