2025 KL StanChart Marathon is Sold Out

Public registrations for KL Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM) opened at 10am yesterday morning and reached its capacity within 4 hours.

KLSCM is organised by Dirigo Events and will see participation from more than 40,000 runners ranging from elite athletes to first-time distance runners.

Registrations for selected groups of runners – priority registrants, the Run for a Reason (RFAR) charity programme and the Corporate Challenge, opened on 17th April. Runners who are still keen to take part in KLSCM 2025 can register under RFAR and raise funds for a RFAR beneficiary of their choice.

As well, if you are a priority banking client with Standard Chartered Malaysia, you are in luck, as you may also be eligible for a complimentary running slot when you deposit and invest with the bank from now till 31 May 2025.

Said Rainer Biemans, Director, Dirigo Events and Project Director, KLSCM, “we are humbled every year by the overwhelming response from the running community and appreciate their support and enthusiasm for the event.”

He added, “KLSCM has been a platform for all levels of runners to raise their individual bars. We will be kicking off the running clinics for participants soon.”

KLSCM 2025 is to be held on 4 and 5 October 2025 and the title sponsor is Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia. ASICS and Pantai Hospital KL are the Gold Sponsors with naming rights for the Half Marathon and the 10km categories respectively.
