Win $1888 cash. Go car-free with Singaporean MOVE&JOY eco-mobility rewards app

Singapore’s first eco-mobility rewards app, MOVE&JOY has launched Car Free Game, a sustainable mobility challenge in support of World Car Free Day.

The location-tracking app allows users to track the real-time location of their cycling, running and hiking kakis and make incident reports that will be pinned onto the map.

Car-free game is a community project under SG Eco Fund and hopes to inspire Singaporeans to embrace sustainable commuting.

Said Kelvin Phang, founder of MOVE&JOY and an Active Mobility Community Ambassador, “As a former car owner who switched to walk-cycle-ride as my default travel mode since 2017, I know first-hand the multiple benefits of going ‘car-free.’”

To participate, simply walk, run, pedal, skate or scoot as much as you can over 35 days to qualify for a “Battle-Royale tournament” where the last person standing wins $1,888 cash.

The MOVE&JOY app tracks a user’s mileage and greenhouse gases avoided each trip and the first 456 users to record 35km (and avoiding 6.0kg of carbon dioxide emission) will qualify for the Grand Finale event on 8th November.

With a total of 456 players, the grand finale is inspired by Squid Game and participants will compete in six games that require balance, endurance, teamwork, skill, luck, and knowledge of active mobility regulations and 2030 green plan.  The eventual winner will walk away with $1888 in cash and spectators can win attractive prizes by taking part in onsite contests. Those who cycle to the carbon-neutral event will also receive surprises.

As well, at the event on 8th November, inspiring cyclists in the community will be presented with rewards. Members of the public can nominate their choices at www.movenjoy.sg/everyday-cyclist-award and stand to win an ASCENT BOLT mini-velo.
