OCBC Cycle 2026 is back and will host the Brompton World Championship too

Registration for Singapore’s largest mass cycling event, OCBC Cycle, is now open, bigger and better than ever.

Said  Tan Teck Long, Group CEO of OCBC, said, “When we first organised OCBC Cycle in 2009, our goal was simple – to give back to our community with a cycling experience that no one else could put together. As we launch the 118th edition, OCBC Cycle has become more than just a ride on closed roads; it is a celebration of friendships and family bonds. Year after year, we work closely with the organiser, government agencies and partners to stage an event that is safe and accessible.”

He continues, “This year, the Singapore edition of the Brompton World Championship which will be held for the first time at OCBC Cycle will be exciting. None of these would have been possible without the support and partnership of the Land Transport Authority and Sport Singapore.”

The Brompton World Championship, is coming to the OCBC Cycle on Saturday May 9, bringing its trademark mix of spirited competition together with quirky British flair. Around 200 cyclists both locally and internationally will race their Bromptons around an 800m circuit which starts and ends at OCBC Square.

Said Phua Thye Xi, 28, Brompton Rider and Retail Specialist, said, “As an avid Brompton cyclist, I’m excited that the Brompton World Championship is returning to Singapore after four years — and doing so at OCBC Cycle.”

He added, “The thought of joining hundreds of fellow Brompton riders, all dressed in our funky attire and unfolding our bikes together, is something I am definitely looking forward to. More than just a fun competition, it’s the kind of event that reminds you why this community of foldie riders is so special.”

The male and female champions will receive a special edition P Line Brompton, which is not available for sale publicly.

Evergreen categories The Sportive Ride (40km), The Foldie Ride by Brompton (40km), The Straits Times Ride (20km) and The Mighty Savers Kids Ride will also be back on Sunday May 10. All rides will end inside the National Stadium to conclude a vibrant weekend of cycling festivities.
