Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon 2026 is sold out.

This morning, public registrations for KLSCM opened at 10am and slots for Malaysians sold out in just five hours. Registrations kicked off on 23 February for Priority Registrations as well as the Run For A Reason (RFAR) charity and Corporate programmes.

Runners who still want to participate in KLSCM can apply under the RFAR initiative to run for a cause and raise funds for RFAR beneficiaries. The corporate challenge is open for companies to register and compete as a corporate team to raise money for a cause. This year’s charities are Standard Chartered Foundation, Hospis Malaysia, Kechara Soup Kitchen, Teach For Malaysia and Yayasan Jantung Kongenital Malaysia.

As well, runners may watch out for upcoming promotions from KLSCM’s official partners offering entries via promotions and competitions.

The 2025 event attracted record numbers of international runners. Added Biemans, “For Visit Malaysia 2026, we are pleased to share that non-Malaysian residents will still be able to sign up until 31 July or until all 4,000 international slots have been taken up. The running community’s standards have improved tremendously over the past years and KLSCM is proud to continue providing runners of all levels with an international platform to showcase their running ability.”

KLSCM 2026 will be held on 3 and 4 October 2026 and is the most anticipated distance running event in Malaysia. Standard Chartered is the title sponsor and global sports brand ASICS and IHH Healthcare are the Gold Sponsors. The other sponsors are 100 Plus, CounterPain, High 5 Nutrition, Seiko and TudungPeople.
