Celebrate Singapore’s 54th Birthday at the Singapore Sports Hub

Didn’t manage to get tickets to the National Day Parade?

Fret not. You can instead celebrate Singapore’s 54th birthday at the Sports Hub National Day Fiesta surrounded by your fellow Singaporeans, and with the first-ever live dual screen National Day Parade telecast as well as a range of activities designed to showcase Singapore culture.

The fun will be taking place at the OCBC Square throughout the day, from 10am – 9pm on 9 August.

Main Event Highlights 

Everyone in the family will have something to do at the Fiesta, with a range of activities taking place that include the following highlights.

  • OHANA Games – Form teams of three to five persons and relive the good old days of Singapore with games ranging from pulling a rickshaw and doing the Samsui Dash. There is a registration fee of $5.40 per participant but each participant will get a OHANA Games tee-shirt and tote bag upon their completion.
  • RED-X challenge – Test your fitness ability with the bicentennial edition o3425f the RED-X challenge, taking place on both land and sand. And the first 200 participants to complete the challenge will receive a special edition Dry Bag worth $20.
  • Sports Hub Workout Lah! – This is a high energy, unique cardio-fusion dance workout with a Singaporean twist that includes 20 minutes of cardio kickboxing, 40 minutes of MegaDance and 40 minutes of Zumba.
  • Aquathlon Introduction Clinics – Here, coaches from Triathlon Singapore will be conducting an Aquathlon introduction clinic to aspire young athletes. There will be a registration fee of $10 per participant.

Live Telecast of National Day Parade

All of this will then culminate in the highlight – which is the live National Day Parade telecast + Family Picnic by the waterfront, where you will even be able to see the fireworks live from the celebrations at the Padang.

Other Event Activities 

Other activities taking place throughout the day also include an inflatable playground, carnival game stalls, face painting, balloon sculpting, local bazaar, family bonding games, craft workshops as well as free snacks up for grabs.

Events free and open to public 

With the exception of a few paid activities that require registrations, most of the activities are free and open to the public. Moreover, participants can bring home an exclusive Sports Hub National Day Fiesta Bag and a Family For Life picnic mat while stocks last.

SG54 packages

Throughout the month of August, exclusive SG54 packages will also be available, together with complimentary guided Sports, Arts & Heritage tours – where you can stand a chance to win a pair of Singapore Sports Hub event tickets of your choice, by penning your well-wishes for Singapore’s birthday.

Penning your well-wishes for Singapore 

As well, you can also pen your birthday wishes for Singapore on love cards and stick these on the giant birthday structure located outside Stadium MRT between 1 to 31 August. 54 persons will stand the chance to win a pair of Singapore Sports Hub event tickets of their choice.
