Reporting Time

And for the run, participants need not all report to the race village at the same time. Only the first runners are required to report in time to begin the race at 7.15am. Subsequent runners though, should reach the race village about half an hour before their team-mate is due to return from their run.

A delicious line-up of food and activities awaits runners

However, the running isn’t the only reason to be happy at the Mizuno Ekiden 2015.

There will be lots of activities at the Japanese-themed Matsuri race village, after the race. These include:

Food and Beverages

After completing their run, participants can tuck into a scrumptious line-up of Japanese delights which include Ramen from Tonkotsu King, Sushi from HaHa Sushi and matcha green tea from Nana’s Green Tea. And if you want to celebrate your successful run with beer, you can end the celebration with malt beer from Kirin Ichiban.

Other Activities

Besides the run, here are some of the other activities that you can also take part in at the Mizuno Ekiden run.

1) Kendama, which is a traditional Japanese toy consisting of a ken (sword) and tama (ball) connected by a string. The ken has three cups and a spike that fits into the hold in the ball.

2) Shateki, where players had to use toy guns to knock over prizes set up on shelves or a rotating stand.

3) Sumo Wrestling, participants can don a combat sumo suit and try their hand at knocking their opponent out of the area to emerge the champion.

4) Cosplay Showcase, there will be a cosplay catwalk and meet and greet session from renowned cosplayers in Singapore. They will be able to share several interesting tips on how to curate your next winning costume.
