Last week, I received my race goodies for the NUS Run BIG 2021.

First virtual event by NUS Giving

The first virtual event organised by NUS Giving, an arm of NUS that focuses on bringing in donors and contributors to help with bursaries, scholarships and school upgrades and improvements. The run hopes to promote the NUS Giving brand and bringing people together.

Generous race pack

The race pack which I received consisted of plenty of goodies and is definitely one of the biggest goodie bags which I have received in a while. I must say I was pretty taken aback.

Apart from an event tee, there are lots of sponsored goodies, including snacks, beauty products and hand sanitisers, which will definitely come in handy during this pandemic. It is definitely a very generous race pack.

Cumulative distance of 1905km

With the event, NUS hopes to achieve a cumulative total distance of 1905km, which represents the year that NUS was established in: 1905.

Several race categories

The event consists of several race categories: 5km fun run, 10km categories, 19.05km competitive run and a 190.5km challenge. 

Runners can choose their preferred route to run from the proposed courses: located in the north, south, east, west and central areas.

I am taking part in the 19.05km category and I am looking forward to this. This distance can be completed either in a single run, or in a combined total of three runs.

I have not yet decided on which of the routes I will be running, but I have definitely been looking through the proposed routes and considering them.

On the race date, simply download the app MapMyRun and bookmark your selected route and track your run. 

Complete your run at your own pace and rhythm during the clocking period.
