Fathers Day Special Prices for 2018 International Champions Cup in Singapore

Still looking for a gift for Dad for Father’s Day this year? Fret not. How about rewarding him with a night out watching some of Europe’s best football teams in action, right here at the Singapore National Stadium?

This is because in order to celebrate Fathers Day this year, the International Champions Cup (ICC) is saluting and rewarding all fathers by giving them a chance to indulge in some rare and incredible football action, at amazing prices.

Even though not all fathers and sons are football legends – like Johan Cruryff and his son Jordi or AC Milan’s Cesare and Paolo Maldini, or closer to home, Fandi Ahmad and his son Irfan – our own fathers are all champions and inspirations in our eyes and should be thus celebrated.

So in line with this, from June 16 to June 22, fathers can enjoy S$48 off a category one ticket, S$38 off a category two ticket or S$28 off a category three ticket for any ICC Singapore match.

The world’s premiere annual summer football tournament featuring the top European clubs playing across North America, Europe and Asia, the ICC brings world class football to the masses by organising marquee matches that often attract record breaking crowds – including the largest recorded attendance for a football match in the United States.

Founded in 2013, the tournament’s sixth instalment will feature 18 of the top football clubs in the world playing 27 matches in 22 cities across the globe, including Singapore.

Singapore football fans will have the opportunity to catch English football giants Arsenal, together with UEFA Europa League winners Atletico de Madrid and French football club Paris Saint-Germain in action.

So this means that both you and your dad can be amongst the first to see Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain play under new managers Unai Emery and Thomas Tuchel respectively, or else to relive the Europa League winning moments with Atletico de Madrid. It would certainly be a great night of father-child bonding over the beautiful game.

For me, as an Arsenal fan myself since 2003, I admit that I simply can’t wait to catch the ICC action at the National Stadium, together with my dad. This would definitely be an opportunity that’s not to be missed for us both.

But besides just rewarding the fathers though, the ICC also has something in store for the younger ones – the football teams of several local schools in Singapore will have the chance to catch all three ICC matches in Singapore. As well, these teams will have the chance to catch the open trainings of each club playing in the ICC.

Some of the schools invited to be part of the action are Singapore Sports School, White Sands Primary School, Jurong West Primary and Cedar MacPherson School. The Young Lions, Singapore’s own football hopefuls, are also invited to be a part of the action as well.

Through these collaborations, the ICC hopes to inspire, encourage and motivate the younger generation of football players.

Standard tickets prices to the ICC 2018 start from S$28 and these are still available at www.sportshub.com.
