TriFactor Triathlon 2022 Launches New Technology, New Race Formats And New World Championships

This 2022, Orange Room Asia is introducing brand new technology, new race formats and a new TriFactor world championships location.

Said Elvin Ting, co-founder of Orange Room Asia, “through our new programmes and innovations, we seek to impact more than one million people around the world by 2025.”

These innovations were brainstormed by the company during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Elvin added, “The pandemic has made us realise the importance of health and in this time, we have pivoted and developed new technologies with the aim of helping people improve their quality of life through health & fitness.”

Tri-Factor World championships to be held in Maldives

The TriFactor Asian Championships series will be held in nine countries this year: Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Korea, China, and the World championships race venue is at the magnificent paradise of Maldives, a South Asian nation in the Indian Ocean. Previous World championships were held in China.

Maldives is an amazing destination of beautiful islands with crystalline turquoise waters, white beaches, blue lagoons, marine life and palm trees under azure blue skies. However, many of Maldives’ 1,200 islands are under threat due to rising sea levels and erosion, and Orange Room is hoping to bring awareness to this issue.

Taking place in November, the world championships will have two categories – elite and age group.

The elite category can be only entered via qualification – when athletes finish in the top three of tier age group at any race in the TriFactor Asian Championships, or in the top three of a World Triathlon-sanctioned race.

Age groupers can simply pay and sign up but there are only 300 such slots available.

New Race Formats

As well, orange room is introducing the TriFactor asian cup, to be held in Vietnam this year and where the best triathletes in the region will compete to become the Asian Champion.

TriFactor Kids

To cater to the kids, there will also be a TriFactor Kids event in July at the gardens by the bay, in collaboration with Kidztopia. This includes a 1km and 3km run for children, as well as a carnival.

T.R.A.C and LevelUP app

And to serve as a stepping stone for TriFactor races, a feeder series called T.R.A.C (Train, Recover, Assess, Complete) is being introduced too and will give athletes the chance to set milestones in their training and preparations.

Working together with T.R.A.C is LevelUP, an app aiming to take an athlete’s fitness to the next level.

This app consists of coaching programmes to prepare athletes towards a T.R.A.C event.

And as well, it can match a coach to you, based on your needs and preferences, creating a customised programme. Physical training stations are also available at eight locations across Singapore, under this programme.

The Human Performance Lab

Finally, Orange Room is introducing the Human Performance Lab, a physical space with professional testing facilities to help you understand your body better to improve your health and performance.
